Laser therapy is one of the most commonly used adjunctive treatments in lymphology, whether used individually or in combination with the operator microscope. The most common type is the CO2 laser, which is now routinely used, even in simple outpatient facilities, for the treatment of lymphostatic verrucosis, post-surgical lymphorrhea, and lymphophlebostatic ulcers. In the operating room, it is successfully used, thanks to the sealing “welding” effect of the laser, in the treatment of acquired and congenital lymphorrhea, lymphoceles, and lymphangiectasias.
